NEWS FROM THE MEDIEVAL HALL

In June, Jane and I will have been responsible for The Medieval Hall for 37 years. It has been largely down to me to meet the day-to-day demands of the task and I’m still loving the job (apart from cleaning the loos!) But, perhaps it is now time to move on. The place has been on the market as a going concern for a while but with no success. Change of use to residential is a real possibility. However, we have always been conscious that it would be a great shame if such an iconic venue were to be lost to the city.

So, we are pleased to announce that our older son, James, has decided to step up and begin the process of prising my hands off the wheel.

We can tell you that he’s already begun to drag us into the modern era and, apparently, we now have a presence on social media - wherever that is!
