VISITING THE HALL

A visit to Salisbury should include a visit to The Medieval Hall where you can appreciate the building and, in particular, enjoy 'DISCOVER SALISBURY' – an absorbing, entertaining and informative 40 minute film about SALISBURY past & present.

It is in four sections:

• 1.'THE MEDIEVAL HALL' – its history and the feasting which took place here many centuries ago.
• 2.'ANCIENT BEGINNINGS' – How the people left the settlement at Old Sarum in the 13th century and built a new Cathedral and City down by the River Avon.
• 3.'HEAR YE' – A colourful and amusing depiction of today's City of Salisbury told by the Town Crier.
• 4.'FLYING VISITS' – A notional helicopter ride to visit the significant places in the area which any visitor should try to see.
